In myself, that is.
If you've seen photos of me in the past, it should come as no surprise that I'm a little on the heavy side. Been that way for most of my life. Well as of about a month ago, I decided to take a fresh start with some guidance from sites like NeoGAF I'm feeling confident about my progress so far.
I started out with simple walking while listening to various soundtracks and podcasts and have added a touch of resistance training where I can due to a lack of solid exercise equipment. And in the past two days, I've actually turned up the notch a bit and have nearly doubled my speed for a bit of a jog. In fact just today, I maintained a jog for upwards of six minutes. And not once did I have to stop due to shortness of breath. If I can keep this up for the next month and possibly pick it up due to more equipment at university as well as full control of what I eat, then perhaps I can make myself look respectable for graduation next May!
This was taken a few days ago. Maybe I've stretched the shirt out, maybe I've lost a bit around my stomach, maybe a bit of both. It fits me well enough, which is motivating!
These next two show me at the top of the hill next to my place. It's roughly a 35 minute stroll to the top but I feel I can improve that speed if I keep at it.
The numbers I'm seeing from the food I eat and exercise I do are a big factor as well. Maybe this time will be the real deal!
